They are isocyanates used in many sectors including floor coverings, adhesives, sandwich panels and polyurethane applications for insulation. In the polyurethane sector, they can be used as antifreeze in paints and aqueous systems, as well as in the production of polyester polyol. They are mainly used in polyester, polyurethane and plasticizer industries. They are also used as solvents in nitrocellulose resin, paint, oil and other organic compounds.
It is used as a solvent for casein, gelatin, dextrin, some phenol-formaldehyde resins, alkyd resins and dyes.
